🌅 First Light: Mary Magdalene and the Courage to Speak

Precious one,

Have you ever felt like you didn't have a voice? Like because you’re "just a girl" or because you’ve made mistakes in the past, nobody would really listen to what you have to say about God?

The world can be very loud, and it often tries to talk over young women. But God did something incredible on the most important morning in history. He chose a woman to be His first official witness.

The Mary Magdalene Breakdown: John 20:11–18

Mary Magdalene has a "past." The Bible says Jesus cast seven demons out of her. She knew what it was like to be broken and messy. But she stayed loyal. While most of the "strong" men ran away and hid after the crucifixion, Mary was the first one at the tomb while it was still dark.

Because of her loyalty and her courage to show up, she was the first person to see the resurrected Jesus. He gave her a mission: "Go and tell my brothers..." ### 1. Loyalty is Your Strength Kingdom femininity is defined by fierce loyalty. Mary didn't go to the tomb because she was "brave" in a military way; she went because she loved Jesus.

Your love for God is your greatest source of courage. When you love Him, you’ll find yourself standing up for Him in places where everyone else is running away—like in a classroom where people are mocking faith or in a conversation that's turned toxic.

2. The "Apostle to the Apostles"

Jesus didn't send a man to tell the news; He sent a woman. This is called being a "witness." You don't need a theology degree or a pulpit to speak for God. You just need to say, "I have seen the Lord," or "This is what He’s done for me."

Your story—even the messy parts—is a tool God uses to reach people that no one else can reach.

❤️ The Boundary Line: Not Being Defined by Your "Before"

Mary Magdalene could have let her past (the "seven demons") keep her quiet. She could have felt "not good enough" to speak to the disciples. But she set a boundary against her past.

Kingdom Femininity means refusing to let your mistakes or your "old self" tell you that you are disqualified. Once Jesus heals you, you are a new creation. You have the right to speak, to lead, and to share your story without shame. Don't let the enemy use your past to silence your future.

🛡️ Mum Tips: Finding Your Voice

  • Share the "Small" Wins: You don't have to preach a sermon. Practice telling a friend one small thing God did for you this week. "I was stressed, and I felt His peace." That's being a witness.

  • Stay in the Dark: Mary went to the tomb "while it was still dark." Don't wait for things to be perfect or for the "sun to come up" to seek God. Seek Him in your darkest, most confusing days.

  • The Identity Anchor: Whenever you feel "not enough," repeat this: "Jesus called me by name, and He sent me with a purpose."

💭 Reflection Questions

  1. Is there a mistake from my past that I’m letting silence my voice today?

  2. Who in my life needs to hear a simple "I've seen God work in this"?

  3. Am I willing to "show up" for Jesus even when it feels like everyone else has left?

A Final Word

My love, whether you are sitting quietly like Mary of Bethany or running to tell the news like Mary Magdalene, you are operating in the fullness of your Kingdom Femininity. You don't have to choose between being "soft" or "bold"—you are both. You are a daughter of the King, and He is calling you by name.
