❤️ The Heart-Work Wrap-Up: Why Your Feelings Point to Your Foundation
My dear girls,
We have spent the last few weeks walking through the halls of history, looking at women like Hannah, Mary, and Tabitha. We’ve learned that our hearts are complex, beautiful, and sometimes a little bit loud.
But if there is one thing I want you to carry in your pocket forever, it is this:
"Listen to me, my loves: Your emotions are not your boss; they are your worship. Whether you are crying in the temple like Hannah or serving the poor like Tabitha, every feeling you have is an invitation to draw closer to God."
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to have it all figured out by third period or by graduation. You just have to be willing to bring your heart—exactly as it is—to the King.
From "How I Feel" to "Who I Am"
When we learn to manage our emotions, we start to realize something incredible: our feelings are actually a compass. They point to the way we were designed. If you feel a deep need for connection, it’s because you were made for community. If you feel a stir for justice, it’s because you were made in the image of a Just God.
But to truly understand why we feel the way we do, we have to go back further than our last mood swing or our last friendship drama. We have to go back to the very beginning.
We have to look at the Blueprint.
Coming Up Next: The Original Design 🎨
Now that we’ve done the "heart-work" of emotional maturity, we are ready to tackle the biggest topic of all: God’s Intention for Women from Creation.
In our next series, we are going to dive into Genesis and answer the questions the world is currently trying to rewrite:
What was God thinking when He made "Woman"?
What does it actually mean to be a "Helper"? (Hint: It’s way more powerful than you think!)
What is our royal mandate on this earth?
If emotional maturity is how we process life, then God’s creation design is the foundation we stand on.
🛡️ Mum Tips: Preparing for the Journey
The Mirror Truth: This week, whenever you look in the mirror, stop trying to fix your hair or check your makeup for a second time. Just say: "I am a deliberate design."
The "Why" Journal: When you feel a big emotion this week, ask God: "What part of my design is this feeling pointing to?"
Bible Prep: If you want a head start, read Genesis 1 and 2 this weekend. Look for the word "good" and see where it stops being used.
💭 Reflection Questions
Which woman from our "Heart-Work" series (Hannah, Ruth, Mary, etc.) resonated with your current emotions the most?
Do I believe that God had a specific, powerful intention for me when He created the first woman?
Am I ready to stop defining myself by my "right now" feelings and start defining myself by God's "from the beginning" plan?
A Final Word
You are more than a collection of feelings. You are a masterpiece with a specific purpose that started before the stars were even hung in the sky. I can't wait to go back to the beginning with you and show you just how intentional God was when He made you.
