Trusting God’s Timing and the Beauty of a New Beginning

My Dearest Daughters,

We’ve reached the end of our series, and it ends with one of the most beautiful phrases in all of Scripture: "And God remembered Noah" (Genesis 8:1).

After a year and ten days of being "shut in" the Ark, the waters finally receded. I imagine those days were filled with a mix of gratitude for their safety and a growing restlessness to be back on solid ground. Sometimes, when God hides us in a "cocoon" to protect us, we eventually grow uncomfortable. We look out the window, see that the storm has passed, and we wonder, "Lord, why am I still here? Why haven't You let me out yet?"

The Lesson of the Window: Noah sent out the raven and the dove. He was eager for a sign that the world was ready for him. But remember: God’s timing is not based on your comfort, but on the condition of the ground. God kept Noah in the Ark not because He forgot him, but because He was perfectly preparing the environment for Noah’s new beginning.

He didn't just let Noah out into mud and chaos; He waited until the earth was dry. He was preparing a future where Noah could truly thrive, be fruitful, and multiply.

The First Act of a New Beginning: When God finally spoke and told Noah to step out, what was the very first thing Noah did? He didn't build a house. He didn't run to find gold or plant a farm. He built an altar. He took the time to worship. He knew that the only reason he had survived when the rest of the world had sunk was because of God’s grace.

What This Means for You: My loves, you may have seasons where you feel "shut in"—maybe you’re waiting for a breakthrough at school, waiting for a friendship to heal, or waiting for God to show you your next step.

  1. He Remembers You: You are never forgotten, even when you feel "stuck."

  2. It’s a New Beginning: In Christ, you can always start again. God has promised that He will never leave you, and He has given you the grace to begin anew every single day.

  3. Worship is Your Anchor: When God finally brings you "out" of a difficult season, never forget to build your altar. Always give Him the credit for your survival.

  • Don't Rush the Dry Ground: If you feel like God is keeping you in a "waiting season," trust that He is drying the ground for you. He wants your next step to be on solid, fruitful soil.

  • Cultivate a Heart of Gratitude: Don't wait until you're out of the "Ark" to thank Him. Worship Him while you're still waiting. A grateful heart is the best preparation for a new season.

  • Remember Your Dominion: God gave Noah the same mandate He gave Adam: Be fruitful and multiply. Your mission hasn't changed. You are here to rule your territory with God’s wisdom, regardless of what season you are in.
